Case details
The client contacted me while sourcing specific products from Polish manufacturers for import into their home country. Although the client had identified potential suppliers, direct communication proved challenging due to language barriers and the need for precise, technical clarification regarding products, pricing, and cooperation terms. As a result, obtaining clear and comparable offers was difficult to manage independently.
My role was to act as a communication bridge between the client and Polish manufacturers. I handled all correspondence in Polish, contacted selected producers, requested detailed offers, and followed up where clarification was needed. This included asking targeted questions related to product specifications, minimum order quantities, lead times, pricing structures, and export readiness.
Once responses were received, I translated and summarized the key information into clear, concise English. Rather than providing literal translations, I focused on extracting what was most relevant for decision-making and presenting it in a structured, comparable format. This allowed the client to quickly understand differences between offers and assess which manufacturers best matched his requirements.
By managing Polish-language communication and consolidating information into actionable summaries, I removed a significant barrier from the sourcing process. The client was able to evaluate options efficiently, save time, and move forward with confidence – without needing to engage directly in complex cross-language correspondence.
